Who is OLEYVO?

OLEYVO ​​was founded by a Swiss man who originally built e-bikes for his own use. As more and more friends inquired about the e-bikes, he decided to launch the OLEYVO ​​brand.

Why was OLEYVO ​​founded?

With OLEYVO, we've developed an e-bike that costs less than half the price of an average electric bike and impresses with the pure design of a single-speed bike, quality, and lightness. Our goal is to make flexible, green urban mobility accessible to everyone. That's why the first OLEYVO ​​bikes have already been on the streets since our launch in 2022. Move forward!

What is OLEYVO’s mission?

Because design and minimalism are just as important to us as technology, we found a way to bring everything together. That's why we design and manufacture our OLEYVO ​​with high quality yet minimal features. Our attention to detail is unparalleled by any other e-bike—a conscious approach to an e-bike that offers everything you need for the city and is affordable. Let's move forward!

Why is the OLEYVO ​​so affordable?

Our e-bikes were never intended for mainstream or commercial sales. When many of our friends expressed interest, we decided to offer the bikes to a wider audience. However, attractive and fair prices were important to us from the very beginning. Through direct production and distribution channels, we are able to pass on the price advantage to the end consumer while still maintaining high safety standards.

Is there a product guarantee?

All OLEYVO ​​products are covered by a two-year warranty against manufacturing or material defects from the date of purchase. After one year, the burden of proof shifts. We will either replace or repair the defective product. However, a discount or refund of the purchase price is excluded. The warranty does not cover parts subject to wear and tear during normal use.

Are your accessories compatible with the OLEYVO?

All of our bike accessories are designed for our e-bikes. However, be careful: certain products, such as the mudguard, require an additional mount. Check the product description in the shop for details.

Does the OLEYVO ​​come with lights?

Yes, that's correct, the OLEYVO ​​comes with front and rear lights. These two lights can be mounted separately and charged via USB. Swiss law requires that e-bikes be ridden with lights day and night. For your own safety, we ask that you always turn on your lights.

Do you only offer one OLEYVO ​​model?

We are continuously working on expanding our product range; currently on new color variations, a women's e-bike, and a new clothing line.

Can the OLEYVO ​​be driven without a battery?

Absolutely! At approximately 17 kg, the OLEYVO ​​is a lightweight among e-bikes. Accordingly, it's also possible to ride the OLEYVO ​​without the battery without much effort.

We recommend charging the battery regularly, but not leaving it plugged in all the time. If your OLEYVO ​​is going to be left standing for an extended period (which we hope won't happen), fully charge it, unplug it, and leave it as it is.

Is the OLEYVO ​​and the battery waterproof?

The battery is IPX4 certified. This generally means "protection against splashing water from all directions." The battery and motor are specifically protected against water. However, please keep in mind that it's never a good idea to expose electronic components (display, electronic cables, battery connector) to water for extended periods of time. Water can build up and cause defects.

Does the OLEYVO ​​have gears?

The OLEYVO ​​is a single-speed bike and works perfectly without gears. Using the display, you can choose between five support levels.

Does the OLEYVO ​​have suspension?

Our OLEYVO ​​comes without suspension and works great in the city.

What materials is the bike made of?

The frame and handlebars are made of 6061 aluminum. The front fork is made of steel. All other components must be considered separately.

Is the OLEYVO ​​delivered assembled?

The OLEYVO ​​is delivered almost fully assembled—only the last 10% of assembly is up to you—but don't worry, this part is super simple! Check out our online manuals to get an idea. All the necessary tools are included, of course.

Do I need special tools to assemble the OLEYVO?

You don't need any special tools to assemble the OLEYVO. A tool kit is included in the delivery to help you complete the assembly.

How long does it take to set up the OLEYVO?

Assembly should not take longer than 30 minutes.

Which pinion do you use on the OLEYVO?

As standard we install a Tri Diamont 18 T Freewheel

How much air should be in the tires?

You will generally find this information on the sidewall of all bicycle tires.
With the OLEYVO ​​the tire pressure can be between 5 - 6 bar.

What is the maximum tire width a new tire can have?

Our OLEYVO ​​allows you to install tires up to 37mm wide. Even up to 45mm would be possible; this would need to be discussed with a workshop.

Why aren't hydraulic brakes installed on the OLEYVO?

We believe that mechanical disc brakes meet the requirements of a lightweight urban pedelec. Of course, we're not sitting idle in this area either, and we're constantly monitoring the market for new products. Alternatively, you can, of course, have hydraulic disc brakes retrofitted at a specialist workshop.

Which tire brand do you use as standard?

We currently use WTB brand tires.

Where can I test drive the OLEYVO?

You can test ride our OLEYVO ​​at any time. We're occasionally exhibited at trade fairs or in cafes around Zurich. The easiest way is to schedule an appointment with us at hallo@oleyvo.com, and we'll bring the bike to you for a test ride.

Which workshops can help me?

If you ever have any problems with your OLEYVO, you can always contact us first. We'll always try to find a suitable solution.

No specialist is required to perform repairs or service work. Your OLEYVO ​​bike consists primarily of standard components that any bike mechanic should be familiar with.

So feel free to go to your local bike repair shop, as long as they're familiar with e-bikes. If necessary, we can also have OLEYVO-specific components delivered to them. We usually have these in stock.

D e l i v e r y

I'm not satisfied with my purchase. Can I return my bike and get my money back?

If you change your mind, you can return your unused bike within 7 days with your receipt. You can mail it back to us at your own expense. You will receive a full refund if the bike is in perfect condition. If the box is opened and the OLEYVO ​​is unpacked, and signs of wear and damage are visible, we reserve the right to refund a reasonable, reduced amount.

The cancellation period is 7 days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier designated by you, takes possession of the last item. You will be charged a return fee of CHF 40.00. In exceptional cases, we can accept returns of used products; this must be discussed with our customer service. In this case, and depending on the condition, restocking fees of up to CHF 1650.00 may apply. You can then drop off your package at any post office for return shipping; you will bear the costs yourself. Please leave the returned item in its original packaging and package it carefully for transport. Generally, the right of return expires for used, opened, or unsealed items. If OLEYVO's inspection reveals that the goods do not have any detectable defects or that they are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, OLEYVO ​​may charge the customer for the costs of returning the goods or any disposal.

Is it possible to make a down payment?

No, a down payment for the OLEYVO ​​bike is not possible. If you want to order from us, the full amount is always due immediately. You can pay with Twint, PayPal, credit card, or PostFinance.

Is it possible to pay with TWINT?

Yes! Payment with TWINT is possible for all items.

To do this, simply select the TWINT payment option during checkout.

My payment is declined, what should I do?

In most cases, these issues can be resolved quickly. Before contacting our customer support, please make sure you've tried the following options:
